      In the article, the authors discuss why schools and colleges of pharmacy in the U.S. should take part in disaster preparedness planning at both local and state levels. Topics include the move by the University of Charleston School of Pharmacy (UCSOP) to help staff of Charleston Area Medical Center (CAMC) in providing emergency care to flash flood victims in West Virginia and the need to reform the state's pharmacy laws for better disaster response.
