    • Abstract:
This article is the result of a research project that explores the place of black women in organizational processes in Colombia. The first exercise focused on the processes, around the Constitution of 1991. They gave rise to a legislation that gave a prominent political place for all Afro-Colombian population, but with a view of it from the Colombian Pacific. It means, that even though they are Afro- Colombian, and share similar historical characteristics, they have a radically different vision from the territory, community life, and development, compaired to other regions of the country. I have given continuity to the project now putting the questions in the Colombian Caribbean, in the city of Cartagena de Indias. Asking about the political and cultural place of women in organizations from the region, in a context marked by poverty and violence. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
